Day 1: Departure from Pune
Your journey begins from Pune, either by flight or by train(own cost). If you choose to travel by flight, you will take a connecting flight via Delhi to Srinagar, which takes about 5 to 6 hours including the layover. If you prefer the train option, you will board an overnight train to Jammu Tawi, followed by an 8 to 9-hour scenic road journey to Srinagar the next day. This journey transitions you from the bustling city life of Pune to the tranquil, snow-capped mountains of Kashmir. Overnight travel ensures you reach fresh and ready to explore paradise on earth.
Day 2: Arrival in Srinagar – Mughal Gardens and Dal Lake
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to a beautiful hotel or a traditional Kashmiri houseboat on Dal Lake. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your Srinagar sightseeing tour. Start with the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (Garden of Joy) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), known for their stunning Persian-style landscaping, colorful flower beds, and fountains. In the evening, experience the world-famous Shikara ride on Dal Lake, gliding through floating gardens and passing houseboats as the sun sets behind the mountains. Day 3: Full-Day Excursion to Sonmarg
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sonmarg, located around 80 km from Srinagar, known as the Meadow of Gold. Upon arrival in Sonmarg, take in the breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and green meadows. After checking into your hotel, experience the highlight of Gulmarg – the Gondola ride (Asia’s highest cable car). The first phase takes you to Khilanmarg and the second phase to Apharwat Peak (at extra cost), offering spectacular panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and deep valleys. Day 5: Gulmarg to Pahalgam – En Route Saffron Gardens and Avantipur
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Pahalgam, also known as the Valley of Shepherds, situated around 140 km from Gulmarg. On the way, stop at Pampore to visit the famous saffron fields, which bloom in October-November, painting the fields purple with saffron flowers. Also visit Avantipur, known for the ruins of a 9th-century Hindu temple. Continue your drive through apple orchards and pine forests along the Lidder River to reach Pahalgam by afternoon. Day 6: Pahalgam Local Sightseeing – Baisaran Valley and Scenic Spots
Today is dedicated to exploring the beauty of Pahalgam. After breakfast, start with a visit to Baisaran Valley, popularly called Mini Switzerland, for its vast green meadows surrounded by dense pine forests and snow-covered mountains. You can enjoy pony rides or simply soak in the breathtaking views. Later, visit Betaab Valley, a picturesque location named after a Bollywood film, and Aru Valley, famous for its meadows and adventure trails. Day 7: Pahalgam to Srinagar and Return to Pune
